2022 HUMMER EV

After teasing the unveiling online and on TV, GMC officially introduced its all-electric 2022 HUMMER EV this week — a first-of-its kind supertruck developed to forge new paths with zero emissions.

Th new HUMMER EV Edition one will be GMC’s first fully electric addition to the brand’s lineup.

“This innovative truck comes to market with speed and purpose, bringing GM another step closer to an all-electric future,” said Mark Reuss, president of General Motors. “With our Ultium Drive architecture as the foundation for an exceptionally broad range of performance, HUMMER EV is perfect for the customer who wants capability, efficiency and performance.”

The HUMMER EV is powered by GM’s all-new Ultium batteries and Ultium Drive, GM’s proprietary EV drive units. It also boasts a GM-estimated best-in-class 1,000 horsepower and GM-estimated 11,500 lb-ft of torque, which is generated by three separate motors within two Ultium drive units to give HUMMER EV’s e4WD remarkable on- and off-road capabilities. Its 0-60 time is just 3 seconds.

Other features include the segment-exclusive 4 Wheel Steer with CrabWalk1 that allows the rear wheels and front wheels to steer at the same angle at low speeds, enabling diagonal movement of the vehicle; adaptive air suspension that enables the suspension height to be raised around 6 inches to help the HUMMER EV negotiate extreme off-road situations; underbody armor; UltraVision4, which includes new front and rear underbody cameras with live “virtual spotter” views to help drivers navigate obstacles and place wheels on and off the trail; and offered standard is 35-inch-OD Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires… and the capability to accommodate 37-inch tires.

Production for the 2022 GMC HUMMER EV begins in late 2021, at GM’s Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center. For more info, visit GMC.com/HummerEV.
