Album Charts: J. Cole Tops Charts With ‘Cole World’ Debut

It was a big week from North Carolina newcomers, J. Cole. The Roc Nation recording artist recorded his first #1 album … and it comes with his debut album, Cole World: the Sideline Story. The 26-year-old rapper opens at #1 with 218,000 copies in its first week, which features Drake, Missy Elliott, and Jay-Z. Evidence: It’s Wasn’t Me (Music Video)

Dilated Peoples’ Evidence dropped his second solo LP this week, titled Cats & Dogs, via Rhymesayers Entertainment. After dropping a clip to the track “You,” Ev hits fans with a visual for his latest song, “It Wasn’t Me,” in which he supports L.A. tagger, Buket.
