Whether it’s the World Cup, a big tournament, or the Olympics, there are just some athletes, who fight to the last, when it really counts. In 2022, we saw some exciting new faces in both soccer and basketball for instance, who are bound to be some of the breakout stars to follow in 2023.

Yassine Bounou, Moroccan Soccer Player

The Moroccan soccer team not only won the hearts of many fans, when competing in the FIFA World Cup in Qatar but also the 4th place, which was unprecedented for the North African team. Yassine Bounou, also known as “Bono” plays for Sevilla FC at the moment. His performance against Spain in the tournament was striking, as he stopped two penalties which secured the team a win. We hope to see more of his outstanding goalkeeping in the future.

Lorena Wiebes, Dutch Cyclist

In 2018, Lorena Wiebes from the Netherlands was one of the fastest women in professional cycling. In 2021 and 2022, she accumulated no less than 13 wins and 23 victories. And in the first Tour de France Femmes, she won the first stage. Her place on the list needs no further explanation.

Just like how agents are tracking Lorena Wiebes, there is tracking in the gambling industry, where many sports fans decide to bet on their favorite players. By tracking slot machines, you can improve your playing. In order to do so try Slot Tracker, where you can download an extension that tracks slots. After having downloaded the extension, you can track slots in real time regardless of the game.

Cade Cunningham, American NBA Player

While he is only 21, he plays much more maturely. The point guard from the Detroit Pistons began as a basketball player for Oklahoma State, where he was named Player of the Year in the Big 12 and was drafted as the no. 1 pick in the 2021 draft. He is no longer the new guy on the block after the new no. 1 pick Paolo Banchero has arrived, but he has started to become more and more important for the Pistons and is slowly adding up his points, rebound and assist tally. He might not have been named NBA MVP yet, but he is definitely one to watch in 2023.

Eileen Gu, Chinese-American Skier

The young freestyle skier took the world by storm when she was the first woman to do a whopping double cork 1440. Mind you, she was only 18 at the time. At the Winter Olympics in Beijing in 2022, she also won a gold medal in the big air as the youngest freestyle skier. Eileen Gu just seems to improve every time, and it will be exciting to see what’s next for her.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, English Soccer Player

The Leicester City midfielder hailing from Shepshed, Leicestershire joined the club at only eight years old. After graduating from the Club’s Academy, where he represented the Under-18s and Under-23s, he made his Premier League debut in 2021. Since then, he is regarded as one of the most important players of the squad, and in season 2021/22, he made 44 appearances.

Even though he has opened up about the difficulties of becoming a senior player, there is no doubt that Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will be one of the most exciting players in the future. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2023.
