Following the release of the 30th Anniversary return of Dee Brownās coveted Pump Omni Zone II āNo Look Dunkā earlier this year, Reebok confirms the release of the celebrationās next instalment: the Pump Omni Zone II āWhiteā.
This past March, for the first time since its initial release in 1991, Reebok revived the iconic Pump Omni Zone II in true high-cut design, famously worn 30 years ago by Dee Brown as he covered his eyes and soared to a dunk contest title.
The sneaker returns for the first time in white — the second OG colorway from ā91. It boasts the recognizable orange āPumpā button and custom-fit air bladder extending downward from a rubberized tongue. It sits atop a retro multicolor outsole in the a classic white/black/orange layered upper built from the ā90s blacktop with the gameās physicality in mind.
Reebokās āPumpā system was introduced on āThe Pumpā basketball shoe in the late ā80s by the āReebok Advanced Conceptsā (RAC) team. Marking the brandās true foray into basketball, āPumpā technology was the first of its kind, integrating within the shoe an inflatable chamber that enabled wearers to create their own custom fit. With the help of Dee Brown on that historic night in 1991, āPumpā would propel Reebok to the forefront of an industry-wide technology race as it gained international allure and quickly became the go-to for pro athletes the world over.
The Reebok Pump Omni Zone II āWhiteā drops May 21 at 10 am EST at Reebok.com, Foot Locker, Finish Line and Champs Sports for $140 USD.
