For those of you unaware of who Ben Baller is, he’s hip-hop’s renaissance man. There isn’t a single part of the culture that the 45-year-old hasn’t touched. Whether it be DJing, working in artist and repertoire, collecting exotic cars, curating custom jewelry, or basking in the glory of fatherhood, Ben Yang sets his sights on success.
With jewelry being a major focal point in his career path at the moment, Ben has officially dropped what he’s considered his most important piece to date. Without further introduction, here’s his IF & Co. x Murakami Panda chain.

Now maybe some of you will understand why I make 4-5 pieces a year instead of 4-5 a month. For real career goal… 🙏🏼 And If your jeweler tells you you got VVS Diamonds in your piece then why isn’t it hallmarked on the back of your piece? That’s how you know it legit has true VVS diamonds. #BENBALLERDIDTHECHAIN #JBalvin #TakashiMurakami #IFANDCO
Prior to the unveiling of the IF & Co. x Murakami Panda Chain, the IF & Co. owner took to social media to reveal that he had been working on this particular project for months. Yang also stated that he dropped multiple clients just to ensure the perfection of the diamond-encrusted, three-dimensional pendant. The final product was unveiled during ComplexCon weekend and delivered to its official owner Columbian artist, J Balvin.
Ben worked closely with none other than the legendary artist Takashi Murakami in order to curate the custom piece. In which, only two IF & Co. x Murakami Panda Chains exist.
The Craftsmanship of the IF & Co. x Murakami Panda Chain
The white gold base is perfectly crafted into a three-dimensional version of Murakami’s notorious panda caricature and drenched in a multitude of natural-colored gemstones alongside color E, round-cut, VVS1 diamonds. The bale of the pendant is emblazoned with colorless baguette-cut diamonds. While the pendant itself is complemented by an open-box chain clasp featuring a graphic of Murakami’s famed multicolor flower graphic surrounded by round-cut VVS1 diamonds as well.
There hasn’t been a solid, high-quality pendant and chain combo of this caliber circulating the culture this year. In one of Ben Baller’s Instagram post, Yang labeled J Balvin the king of jewelry. But even though the “Mi Gente” singer might be rockin’ this one of a kind piece day-in and day-out, Ben Baller is still the unanimous King of Jewelry.
