Rapper Mac Miller died on Friday (Sept. 7) for an apparent overdose, reports TMZ.
His body was found Friday at around noon in a bedroom at his home in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Miller was just 26 years old.
Miller has struggle with substance abuse, following the breakup with his ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande.
In wake of the breakup, he was arrested for a DUI and hit and run in May after crashing his SUV into a utility pole in Los Angeles. After the crash, he fled the scene, but later confessed to cops who showed up at his house.
Following their breakup, Ariana said his substance abuse led to their split after two years.
Sadly, Miller said in an interview a few years ago that he didn’t want to die of an overdose. “I’d rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can’t even get out of his house. Overdosing is just not cool. You don’t go down in history because you overdose. You just die.”
RIP MAC MILLER.
