Hip-hop legend Everlast is gearing up for the release of his first studio album in seven years, and we get a first taste of what’s to come via the buzz single “The Culling”.

Following the single’s release, Everlast linked with Emmy-nominated visual artist Jason Goldwatch for its official video. For the clip, Goldwatch pushes the medium of collage beyond a static, 2-D image by incorporating moving imagery and the dimension of time, complimenting the political message of the song.

“The Culling” appears on Everlast’s full-length studio album, Whitey Ford’s House of Pain, which is set to release Sept. 7. You can pre-order it here.
