Ronda Rousey is the new WWE Raw women’s champion, after submitted former champ Alexa Bliss on Sunday night (Aug. 19) at SummerSlam in Brooklyn.

The former UFC star earned the win in the same way she won so many fights in MMA: via armbar.

Obviously, the title takes place in the scripted world of the WWE, but it proves Rousey’s star in the WWE is bright. The title reign comes just eight months after she officially joined the company in January.

Rousey first appeared at the Royal Rumble in January and announced that she was signing with the WWE. Then, in April, she teamed up with Kurt Angle for a tag team match at WrestleMania 34 Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Now, she’s the new champ.
