The legendary Vince Carter will return for another NBA season later this year, after agreeing to a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks.
Sources tell ESPN that Vince’s deal is for $2.4 million for what would likely be his last season in the league.
Carter is 41, the oldest player in the NBA, but not in league history. That record goes to Nat Hickey, who played one game during the 1947–48 season at the age of 45.
For Carter, it will be his 21st season in the NBA, tying both Robert Parish and Kevin Garnett for most seasons played in league history. He’s also joining his eighth NBA team and add to his career point total: 24,868 — 22nd all-time in NBA history.
Last season, Carter averaged 5.4 points for the Sacramento Kings in a limited role.
