YG was arrested and charged with a felony robbery charge this week for allegedly snatching a dude’s chain in Las Vegas. Oh, and there’s video surveillance of the incident.
According to TMZ, the rapper (born Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson) was arrested on Thursday (July 12) after turning himself in due to a warrant being issued.
Back in May at the Cosmopolitan, YG denied a man a photo, who responded by telling him he wasn’t a real celebrity. That angered the rapper, who yanked a chain of the man’s neck (valued at around $3,000 to $9,000) that fell to the floor and he snatched it up and left.
YG has been hit with felony robbery and released on $20,000 bail.
In addition to pressing charges against YG, the alleged victim is also suing him, claiming YG had his associates beat him up before he snatched his jewelry. He’s seeking at least $250k.
