We know a Black Panther sequel is coming, following the massive success of the original, but was the release date just revealed?
There’s no confirmation just yet, but we did get some solid evidence of what could be the date.
According to reports, Disney recently shifted its 2020-2022 slate of releases, with Indiana Jones 5 being pushed back a full year and an untitled Marvel Cinematic Universe title being pushed up, from July 30, 2021 to February 12, 2021.
That date come smack dab in the middle of Black History Month, leading fans to speculate that the MCU movie to release on that date will, indeed, be the planned Black Panther sequel. Furthermore, the date would also be around three years after the first film.
We will have to wait for confirmation, but there’s good evidence that date could be it.
Since its release in February, Black Panther has brought in more than $1.34 billion at the worldwide box office, alongside nearly $700 million domestically.
