Jim Jones was arrested in Georgia this week, after he and some friends took police on a car chase.
According to TMZ, the rapper (born Joseph Jones II) was in the backseat of a vehicle that refused to stop when police attempted to pull them over. The car would hit a deputy’s vehicle before finally stopping.
Jones was one of three others were in the car, which was searched and turned up marijuana, oxycodone, Percocet, vape cartridges, THC oil, two loaded pistols and cash.
Jones reportedly told police that it was “just petty cash.”
Nobody claimed the items that came up in the search, though Jones did say he had a prescription for the Oxy and Percocet pills. So, everybody was charged.
He also told officers that he told the driver to pull over, but she was acting “incoherent.”
Jimmy was charged for possession of the stolen gun, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of narcotics — all felonies. He was released on $7,000 bail.
