To put things in retrospect, his album streamed on Spotify close to nearly 48 million times on its first day and 236.5 million times in its first week … and that’s just in the U.S. Beerbongs & Bentleys also sold 150,000 traditional album sales and was certified platinum within two days, so its safe to say that top spot was earned.
The only albums in 2018 to come close to reaching these numbers in its first week were J. Cole’s KOD, Justin Timberlake’s Man of the Woods, and Migos’ Culture II.
