Tekashi 6ix9ine Admits $5M Headphone Deal Was a Publicity Stunt

Remember that bangin’ $5 million headphone deal Tekashi 6ix9ine got with TUNES Audio? Yeah, it was all fake.

In mid-April, it was reported that 6ix9ine signed an endorsement deal with TUNES Audio for $4.9m to promote his own pair of red headphones. Now, the rapper is calling it all a a lie.

According to TMZ, “6ix9ine claims he never spoke with anyone at TUNES Audio — his name was just used for publicity. But … he ain’t mad.”

Whether or not 6ix9ine came up with the stunt on his own or simply just let rumors fly, we’re unsure of, but it’s kind of laughable to say the least.

The rapper has recently been wrapped up in some legal battles, as his performance at the Barclays center this coming June was cancelled amid a shooting investigation. Allegedly, 6ix9ine’s manager is a suspect in a shooting that occured at the venue in April, yet no further detail has been given.
