PUMA returns with a new 1990s-inspired running silhouette, dubbed the Thunder Spectra.

In addition to 1990s inspiration, the new sneaker pays homage to past collabs most feel were ahead of their time, including the PUMA x McQueen collaboration. It sports a reimagined design, with a “bulky, unapologetic look and feel,” according to the brand.

“This is a countermovement, a new era of sport fashion,” PUMA says in a press release. “This is Thunder Spectra, it takes an unconventional approach to design that breaks focus and commands attention. It’s loud with colorblocking, material mixes, and bright accents. It’s packing the power of a storm”.

The PUMA Thunder Spectra drops April 28 online and select retailers for $120 USD.
