It looks like J. Cole has finally decided to answer our prayers and bless us with another album.
The rapper took to Twitter on Monday (April 16) to announce that a new album album called KOD would be dropping by the end of the week, Friday (April 20).
In a tweet, Cole simply wrote: “New album. KOD 4/20”. Fans of the North Carolina native kicked into gear by retweeting the post nearly 350,000 times and over 540,000 favorites, as of press time.

KOD will mark Cole’s first project release since 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only. Although it seems as though the artist is playing his album roll out incredibly low key, offering no details about the work, a number of fans already claimed to have heard it in its entirety during a listening session at Gramercy Theatre at the top of the week.
According to reports from the listening session, which was available for fans arriving on a first come first serve basis, the project is called K.O.D. and dawns three separate interpretations: King Overdose, Kill Our Dreams, and Kids On Drugs. The album is said to include 10 to 12 tracks with no features.
Who’s excited for some new J. Cole?
