The NBA had a huge year, setting all-time records for total attendance, average attendance and sellouts during the 2017-18 season.
Furthermore, for the fourth consecutive season, the league broke its total attendance records, surpassing the 22 million mark for the first time, with over 22.1 million fans attending games this past regular season.
Last year, the NBA garnered just under 22 million fans in attendence.
That’s not it, either. Additionally, the NBA established a new regular-season record for average attendance (17,987), surpassing the previous high established last year (17,884).
There were 741 sellout games (another record).
The current season also was at least 95 percent or more of arena capacity. WOW!
