Nike is releasing a special Air Jordan 9, in honor of brand athlete Carmelo Anthony.
Exactly 15 years ago on April 7, freshman Carmelo Anthony helped bring the Syracuse Orange to its first and only National Championship. To commemorate the history-making day, Nike is releasing a special Air Jordan 9.
The sneaker is detailed with metallic gold and a wood grain design, created to match the championship trophy. Instead of its usual “23”, the number “15” is stitched in to the heel to represent Carmelo.
No official release date has been given for the shoe, but we can expect it to drop very soon.
