“Fortnite” Finally Available to All iOS Users, Made $1.8M So Far

via Epic Games

After dropping it to iOS as an invite-only last month, Epic Games has officially unleashed Fortnite for all mobile players on iOS.

Now available to the general public, the official Fortnite iOS app is a smash hit, sitting at No. 1 on Apple’s App Store, ahead of Instagram and Facebook, as of press time.

Users with an iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, or newer model phone will be able to run Fortnite. So, if you’re running something older, you’re out of luck. And unfortunately, the game hasn’t yet arrived for Android users, but Epic Games says it will come β€œwithin the next few months.”

Fortnite on mobile devices is the same experience as Fortnite: Battle Royale on consoles or the PC, but with touchscreen controls. It alsoΒ supports cross-platform play. So, whether your friends are playing on PC, Mac, Xbox One, or PS$, you can play together.

Since its release on iOS, Epic Games has generated $1.8 million from the game. Wow!
