Cardi B has admitted to feeling pressure to deliver a great album in the past, and now, with April 6 (her album release date) right around the corner, the feelings have surely intensified. Luckily for the not so private femcee, the album, Invasion of Privacy, is already claiming gold status and it hasn’t even dropped yet.
With the success of Cardi’s first single, she can likely look forward to experiencing an extraordinary debut. According to Chart Data, her album will be eligible for gold status in the U.S., due to “Bodak Yellow” selling 5 million units, certified by the RIAA. Since 10 track units equates to one album sale in the calculating process, the album already has over 500,000 units sold. However, these units will not be included in the official first week numbers.
