While fans continue to await Trippie Redd’s anticipated debut album, the rising rapper has announced some exciting news about the project.

In a recent interview with HotNewHipHop, Trippie revealed that he has successfully recruited Erykah Badu and Lil Wayne as guest features.

“Erykah Badu — she’s timeless, that’s my second mom. She’s gonna be on the album,” he said.

In addition to dropping tidbits about his exciting features, Trippie also took time out to pay homage to Drake, saying that he feels Drizzy makes timeless music. “Anything Drake drops is timeless. It’s always timeless, it’s always lit,” he said. “He just says stuff people can relate to. No matter if you like it or not, you could hate Drake, he always says stuff that everybody can relate to. Facts.”

Preceding the release of “God’s Plan,” it was rumored that Trippie Redd was dropped from the single after his DJ played snippets of the record at a New Year’s Eve party. Later, Redd’s DJ spoke on the situation in an Instagram post. “Trippie only finished half his verse, so I’m guessing Drake wanted to capitalize off the buzz. Him and Trip got plenty sh*t together, they good.”

The Ohio-bred artist also addressed the issue last month when a fan commented on a post by Drake and tagged him in it.

After the fan commented, “You missed a MASSIVE opportunity,” Trippie took a mature approach and decided to remain optimistic in his response. “You right, I’m not gone be salty about it tho I got plenty of time to have the opportunity again.”
