At only 30-years old, rapper Kendrick Lamar has already made the G.O.A.T. list for hip-hop connoisseurs. He’s also expressed his desire to enter into the acting arena, as a villain in Marvel’s Black Panther sequel. Now, it has been announced that Kendrick has a biography in the works.
Journalist, music critic, and senior editor of Bandcamp, Marcus J. Moore, revealed via Twitter Friday morning (March 23) that he just wrapped a deal with Touchstone Books and is all set to write his project, which will dawn the title, The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America.
The book will chronicle the Compton lyricist’s ascension to rap stardom.
“Some big news I’ve been eager to share: I’ve signed with @TouchstoneBooks to write the cultural biography of Kendrick Lamar. My book, ‘The Butterfly Effect: How Kendrick Lamar Ignited the Soul of Black America,’ will detail his rise to rap superstardom.”
