Remy Ma has recently turned her sights on acting, as she has officially landed a role on the hit show, Queen of the South.
News of Remy’s new gig follows her guest appearance on Lee Daniels’ incredibly successful FOX series, Empire. On Queen of the South, the Bronx-bred lyricist will play the role of Vee, a security guard to Chicago drug dealer Devon Finch.
Her character will debut during the series’ third season, broadcasting on USA.
An excited Remy took to Instagram to share her excitement about the new upcoming role she snagged in a post that read: “Actress…check #RemyMa #RemyMafia #MelaninMagic @queenonusa”
Aside from releasing new music, the ““Melanin Magic” rapper recently lit the stage on fire during her performance at New York City’s Irving Plaza with a host of special guests like Lil Kim, Desiigner and more.
Season 3 of Queen of the South is expected to air sometime in 2018.
