After Marvel’s Black Panther movie obliterated box offices by bringing in over $1 billion worldwide, it has been confirmed that a sequel to the groundbreaking superhero film will happen, reports Entertainment Weekly.
In an interview with EW, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige said that there are story plans in motion for the undoubtedly epic sequel. After saying that he had “nothing specific to reveal,” he added, “We absolutely will do [a sequel]. One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do in a Part Two. There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther. We have ideas and a pretty solid direction on where we want to head with the second one.”
Until more details are released for Wakanda’s solo return to the big screen, you can catch T’Challa, Okoye, and Shuri in Avengers: Infinity War, set to arrive next month.
