Singer-songwriter Anderson .Paak’s eclectic style has ushered him into worldwide success. His unique sound has consistently raised the bar in the music industry, but one person who isn’t the least bit shocked by the excitement around .Paak’s work is his mentor: Dr. Dre.

So, it’s no surprise that the Compton bred icon would gladly fulfill a guest spot for the rising artist.

At Paak’s recent show in London at the 02 Academy Brixton, Dre made a special guest appearance, performing his classic hits, “Still Dre” and “The Next Episode”.

The performance marked his first UK show since 2014, when he joined Eminem for his scheduled tour at Wembley Stadium, which was filmed for Apple Music and Beats.

As Dre entered the stage, he told the crowd “to present and represent”, while Paak added, “This man right here is destined to be a star. Trust me.”

Dr. Dre has generously produced a great deal of music for Anderson .Paak’s upcoming album, as previously reported.  “It’s dope to be around legends like that and you can feel the mutual respect,” .Paak said regarding his mentor. “That’s what I always did it for, I wasn’t really thinking about money or fame, I just wanted the respect from the people I look up to musically.”
