Kodak Black and his legal team accomplished a small win in court this week, when he had three of seven charges he’s facing dismissed.
On Thursday (Feb 22), the State of Florida dismissed charges because prosecutors on the case lacked sufficient evidence to move forward — including possession of a weapon or ammunition by a delinquent, one count for grand theft of a firearm, and the other for child neglect, reports TMZ.
The dismissed charges stem from a raid on his Florida home last month, leading to his arrest. Authorities were alerted to criminal activity when the Pompano Beach rapper shared an Instagram Live video that showed several men with guns and marijuana in the presence of his 2-year-old son.
Despite the legal victory, Kodak isn’t entirely in the clear, as he still faces charges, such as marijuana possession and possession of ammunition. He remains jailed for a probation violation.
Jail time has not stopped Kodak from releasing new music. Earlier this month, Project Baby released an R&B album Heart Break Kodak on Valentines Day.
