The Cheetos brand has apparently landed a deal to create a movie centered around the popular snack, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
According to Variety, Fox Searchlight and producer DeVon Franklin have teamed up to tell the story of Richard Montanez, who rose from humble beginnings to a successful businessman when he created Flamin’ Hot Cheetos.
Titled Flamin’ Hot, it will detail how Montanez went from working as a janitor at the Frito-Lay Rancho Cucamonga plant in California, when he stumbled upon the invention.
“I see the corn man adding butter, cheese and chili to the corn and thought, what if I add chili to a Cheeto?” Montanez previously explained to Fox News. “I had two weeks to prepare a presentation for the company executives. I’m a little bit of an artist so I even designed the bags and put the Cheetos in it.”
Further details about when Flamin’ Hot will begin production is unknown.
