Years in the making, Nipsey Hussle has officially delivered his official and anticipated studio debut, Victory Lap, coming in time for NBA All-Star Weekend, via his All Money In/Atlantic Records partnership.
The 14-song effort features the previously released singles, “Rap N*ggas” and “Last Time That I Checc’d” with YG. There’s also a number of notable guests, including Diddy, Kendrick Lamar, The-Dream, CeeLo Green and Marsha Ambrosius.
In our recent interview with Nipsey, he said he never spent this much time crafting a project. Four years in the making, everything — down to every bar — was meticulously combed over several times until everything was right.
“I never spent this much time on music, on one project. I never made this many songs in the creation process to narrow it down to 16 records,” Nipsey explains. “I’m 100 percent confident in every line, not just every song. Everything I said, you can mute the beat and understand all these words because it’s that sincere and means that much to me.”
Victory Lap is available now. Stream the project below, via Apple Music.
