“Gucci Gang” rapper Lil Pump was arrested at his Los Angeles-area apartment on Wednesday (Feb. 14) after he fired at gun inside.
The rapper told police (via TMZ) that he heard people attempting to break into his home, who then fired off one shot through his door. Once police arrived, there were no suspects on the scene.
Upon questioning, police began to notice things weren’t adding up and quickly realized Lil Pump was the one who fired the gun. They also noticed he was smoking marijuana.
Police returned hours later with a search warrant. Upon a search of his San Fernando Valley apartment, they found a handgun in the bushes below the balcony. It was unloaded, but cops found ammo for the gun elsewhere in the apartment.
The 17-year-old rapper was taken in to custody for discharging a weapon in an inhabited place. He was placed in a juvenile detention facility where he remained overnight.
Pump was released early on Thursday (Feb. 15), sporting a new Valentine’s Day gift: an ankle bracelet.
