It has been almost exactly two years since Kanye blessed the world with his seventh studio albumThe Life of Pablo. Although the album went platinum last year and was deemed the first streaming-only album to go platinum by Def Jam, none of the tracks from the album had gone platinum… until now.

The energetic “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2” is the project’s first single to reach platinum status. The track follows as the continuation to “Father Stretch My Hand Pt. 1” and meshes New York rapper Desiigner’s “Panda” into it, creating an all out explosive track many have come to love and play on repeat.

Kanye’s fan page took to Instagram to deliver the news showing the platinum certification with a caption saying, “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 2 is now certified platinum! @riaa_awards 💿🐼.”

According to Complex, Ye’s camp actually had both “Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1” & “Pt. 2” sent off to radio stations as the second single, following “Famous” featuring Rihanna. During that time, there was even speculation that Yeezy and Desiigner would team up to even shoot a visual for the “Pt. 2”, but that never happened.

However, the time for celebrating is now! Congrats Ye.
