LaVar Ball has yet another new business venture. In addition to clothing, footwear and his own basketball league, he wants to launch Big Baller Brand water.
Ball took to social media this week to announce the venture, which he says will be imported from Europe.
According to ESPN’s Darren Rovell, the BBB-branded water will be imported from Lithuania and be priced similar to high-end water brands like Perrier (a 24-pack costing $15) and San Pellegrino (24-pack for about $17.50).
In an interview with Lithuanian-based 15min, he says he partnered with Lithuanian water company Birstonas Mineral Water, and hopes to bring on sponsors like his sons’ team Vytautas.
“Wow, this mineral is stronger than anyone else,” Ball said. “What player NBA advertises water? Nothing Everybody in America is somehow too proud of water companies. There are energy drinks that are advertised, but nobody even thought about water. And here we come from the Atlantic with water. Lithuania has the best water in the world! Zero nitrate! What kind of water is more transparent?”
