Just before hte trade deadline on Thursday (Feb. 8), three teams pulled off a deal, including the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Utah Jazz and Sacramento Kings.
The Cavs acquired Rodney Hood and George Hill in a three-way deal, sending Iman Shumpert and a 2020 second-round pick via the Miami Heat to the Kings in the deal.
Sacramento gets Joe Johnson from Utah in the deal, with the Jazz picking up Jae Crowder and Derrick Rose.
Hill could help the Cavs’ defense. He’s averaging 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists this season.
The deal closes out a number of other moves by Cleveland before the deadline, including the trade where Isaiah Thomas and Channing Frye were shipped to the Lakers for Jordan Clarkson and Larry Nance Jr.
The Cavs also dealt Dwyane Wade to the Miami Heat.
Immediately following the deal, the Jazz waived Derrick Rose.
