What could be better than a collaboration with the “Trap Selena” and the actress who actually played Selena? Luckily, Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that the two Bronx-bred artists do have a song together.
“I feel like you already know that I collaborated with Cardi B,” J.Lo recently told Latina.com, with a laugh. “The name of the song is ‘Dinero.’ I don’t know what the video is going to be yet, but we’ll see what we come up with.”
The news of the two collaborating on a track comes as no surprise to some, who already suspected a song was in the works. Back in 2017, during a studio session between J.Lo and DJ Khaled, which was posted on social media, Lopez can be heard requesting more ad-libs from Cardi.
In addition to the studio session hint, during a recent performance at the Calibash in Los Angeles, J.Lo and her dancers can be seen dancing to a song that transitions into Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow”, which may have been a secret nod to the rapper since Cardi posted the footage to her Instagram page.
We can expect “Dinero” to drop fairly soon. Stay tuned…
