Days before his performance at this weekend’s Super Bowl LII halftime show, Justin Timberlake delivers his fourth studio album, Man of the Woods.
The 16 song project features guest appearances from Alicia Keys (“Morning Light”) and Chris Stapleton (“Say Something”), while Timbaland, Danja, Pharrell Williams, and Chad Hugo provide production.
Timberland calls the call “modern Americana with 808s.”
“It’s definitely the most introspective record I’ve made,” he told Beats 1. “Every album I’ve done before that was about aspiration… Everything before Man of the Woods is aspiration and Man of the Woods really is the inspiration. When you have kids, all of a sudden, you’re faced with your own childhood.”
The album also includes the previously-released singles, “Filthy,” “Supplies,” and “Say Something”, two making it onto the Billboard Hot 100. “Filthy” opened at No. 9 and “Supplies” at No. 71.
Man of the Woods is Timberlake’s first new album in five years, following The 20/20 Experience. Stream the project below.
