With only two episodes broadcast, CW’s new hit show Black Lightning has become an instant favorite among DC Comics fans. This week, we saw cast expand, as singer Jill Scott made her debut as supervillain Lady Eve.

The character made its debut in DC Comics part of the criminal organization Kobra Cult. In the series, she will act as the connection between Tobias Whale (played by rapper Krondon) and a secret society of city officials embroiled in corruption.

As part of her cover, Lady Eve presents herself to the citizens of Freeland as the owner of a funeral home who will quickly become Black Lightning’s opposition.

CW’s Black Lightning stars actor Cress Williams as Jefferson Pierce, father of daughters Jennifer (China McClain) and Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and principle of Garfield high school.
