Netflix Announces New Hip-Hop Series “Rapture”

Netflix dropped a teaser trailer for a new rap documentary miniseries this week, titled Rapture.

The clip opens with Nas saying “Hip-hop is about being truthful — you tell the real story". Then, we get a look at the first season, which features appearances from hip-hop artists Dave East, Logic, T.I., Rapsody, G-Eazy, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, 2 Chainz, and more.

Directed and produced by Sacha Jenkins, in conjuction with Mass Appeal, the eight-episode series will follow aforementioned artists closely, focusing on both their personal and professional lives, while also showcasing hip-hop's impact on global culture.

Rapture premieres March 30, exclusively on Netflix. Watch the first trailer above.
