Triple threat Childish Gambino,  aka Donald Glover, and his Wolf + Rothstein label/agency have landed a deal with RCA Records for a new recording contract and label deal, reports Variety.

The deal includes an agreement to release new music some time this year, which is great news for fans, following rumors of the actor/rapper possibly retiring from music last year.

“Donald is undoubtedly one of the most talented, multi-faceted, young entertainers of this era,” said RCA Chairman/CEO Peter Edge of the signing. “We are excited to join forces with him and Wolf + Rothstein to usher in the next phase of Childish Gambino’s musical career.”

The Atlanta star also added that he felt “it was a necessary change of pace.”

Wolf + Rothstein is a creative agency created of Glover, Wolf Taylor, and Fam Rothstein. The trio collectively worked together for Glover’s Childish Gambino album Awaken My Love!, which features the hit single “Redbone” — both nominated for Grammys. Combined, both the album and single are have nabbed noms in five separate categories, including: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Urban Contemporary Album.

The label is also responsible for Kari Faux’s 2016 album, Lost en Los Angeles, which features singles that also appeared on Issa Rae’s hit HBO show Insecure; and Black Party’s hit “Mango” from the same year.

In addition to his nominations, Childish Gambino is also set to perform at the Grammy Awards, which takes place in New York City on Jan. 28.
