Iconic skate brand Vans has debuted what it’s calling a “landmark skate apparel innovation”, the Versa Hoodie DX.
Vans says the new hoodie showcases an evolution of style, comfort and skateboard functionality all-in-one.
“Our pro skate team riders are the major catalyst for developing a hoodie that would perform at the highest level,” said Colin O’Connor, Vans director of global design. “We focused on incorporating a durable fabric blend, comfort and functionality that would fit our riders needs both on and off the board.”
The Versa Hoodie DX features a number of performance upgrades without sacrificing the brand’s timeless aesthetic. There’s the use of Storm Cotton, a hydrophobic shield that enhances the garment with water repellency, while maintaining breathability. It also uses a durable fleece blend that withstands abrasion, making it that much durable.
It also includes reflective details on the pocket, hood and lower back, as well as a patent-pending hidden media pocket for quick access and secure phone storage.
The Vans Versa Hoodie DX drops Jan. 20 at Vans stocklists and online for $94.50. It will be available in cement heather, old gold and classic black colorways.
