Diddy Donates $200K to French Montana's Initiative in Uganda

Hip-hop mogul  Diddy has donated $200,000 to the Unforgettable Health Care Campaign, which will help improve the Suubi “Hope” Health Center in Budondo, Uganda — a rural area of the country.

The initiative was launched between French Montana, Global Citizen and Mama Hope after he filmed the music video for his hit single “Unforgettable” in Uganda.

“I’ve always said my purpose is to inspire and empower the next generation to become great leaders – and to honor their hustle along the way,” Diddy said in an interview with Rolling Stone. “In addition to passing the torch to French, I’m showing my support for the work he is doing in Uganda. Not only will Ciroc be donating $100,000 to support the organization Mama Hope, I am matching the donation so that our stories and successes can benefit as many people as possible.”

This donation follows up on other donations made by both Montana and The Weeknd, each chipping in $1000,000 to the cause. The donations will help build maternal healthcare facilities at the Suubi Health Center, which includes a prenatal care clinic, a birth house and a new ambulance.

“It’s important to give back, it’s important to be an agent of change,” Diddy stated in a PSA for the donation. “That’s a core part of being down with the Bad Boy family.”
