Fans waiting to see Deadpool 2 this summer just got some good news. The movie’s release date has been moved up.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the release date for the Deadpool sequel has been moved up to May 18 — two weeks earlier than it’s original June 1 date.
The move comes as Fox reshuffled release dates for three Marvel films, so they wouldn’t hit certain overseas markets the same time as Deadpool 2. Dates for The New Mutants and Gambit have been moved to February 22, 2019 and June 7, 2019, respectively.
Still, Deadpool 2 will still have competition at the box office, as it debuts just two weeks after Avengers: Infinity War and one week before Solo: A Star Wars Story.
