Wow! How did this get approval?
H&M angered the internet this week, when it posted an image of black kid rocking printed hoodie that read “COOLEST MONKEY IN THE JUNGLE”.
The product was posted on its UK website, but was quickly pulled down after the image sparked outrage.
H&M has since issued an apology, though pretty tone-deaf: “We sincerely apologize for offending people with this image of a printed hooded top. This image has been removed from all online channels and the product will not be for sale in the United States.”
They’ve also been busy replying to social media comments with the same statement.
It’s unclear how this image made it to the website, but somebody is getting fired…
