Earl Sweatshirt announced on New Year’s Eve that he will be releasing more music in 2018.
The former Odd Future rapper took to Twitter with a series of posts, stating that “(20)17 was a f*cked up year,” followed by new chunes 2018, don’t think i wasn’t at work.”

Earl’s last official release was in 2016, with the track “Balance” featuring Knxwledge, released as part of Adult Swim’s 2016 single series. In May 2017, he performed a track titled “Hat Trick” live during the Movement Festival. However, the track was never officially released.
His last full length project, I Don’t Like Shit I Don’t Go Outside, was released in 2015.
