Tesla Pickup

After revealing initial renderings earlier this year, Elon Musk revealed this week that development of a Tesla Pickup could begin soon.

The business magnate responded to a question on Twitter, saying that he’s “dying to build it”, before promising that it’s on the way. “I promise that we will make a pickup truck right after Model Y. Have had the core design/engineering elements in my mind for almost 5 years. Am dying to build it,” Musk wrote.

The Model Y is rumored to have a 2019 release, so maybe the pickup is closer than we think.

In another Twitter post, Musk teased more details, saying it’s “similar total size” to Ford’s F-150 model. “Maybe slightly bigger to account for a really gamechanging (I think) feature I’d like to add.”
