Respected European brands, Patta and Deviation, have teamed up with Converse for this limited capsule of footwear and apparel.
The brands take a hyperbolic approach to the contrasts of counter culture. It features unexpected texture and hues, including Casentino wool, a mainstay in fashion after its humble beginnings in the Italian countryside.
We see a selection of an orange wool, which contrasts the collection’s darker hues, a nod to Audrey Hepburn bringing Casentino into fashion after famously sporting a coat in the hue, as well as Patta’s cultural appreciation of the color — the official color of the Dutch Royal Family.
The seven-piece collection features two classic Converse footwear styles: the Chuck 70 and One Star. The Chuck 70 is dressed in a Navy Casentino wool, while the One Star gets a bolder application of the Casentino wool uppers in black and in bold arancino (orange). The footwear is also leather lined, and feature the exclusive Patta x Deviation branding on the sockliner, tongue and outsole. Contrast cotton laces are available for styling options.
The Converse x Patta x Deviation collection drops Dec. 21 at select retailers and on Converse.com.
