Apparently, the gun that killed the late Tupac Shakur 21 years ago is currently missing.
According to TMZ, cops found the weapon — a .40 caliber Glock — in a Compton backyard back in 1998.
A citizen found it in his backyard 19 years ago and reported it to the Compton Police Department, who booked it into found property on May 30, 1998.
When the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department took over law enforcement of Compton in 2000, it confiscated 3,800 firearms — including the Tupac murder weapon — and transferred it to the LASD.
In 2006, Deputy T. Brennan was going through records, when he noticed that a doc revealed that the gun was found at the home of the girlfriend of a prominent Crip member … who was known to have beef with Pac. After ordering ballistic testing, the results were a match for the firearm used to kill Tupac.
All this info was revealed in a police document dug up by producers of the A&E docu-series, Who Killed Tupac?. The final episode premieres on A&E on Dec. 19.
