Drake’s 2017 ends with domination, as he tops Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-hop artist charts for his third consecutive year and fourth overall. This makes him the first artist to top the year-end chart four times since since 2001.

Drake’s success this year comes from the release of his “playlist” album, More Life, which was released in March. It had 21 of its 22 tracks land on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-hop songs chart, including top 10 hits “Passion Fruit”, and “Portland” featuring Travis Scott and Quavo.

The rapper first topped the year-end chart in 2012, thanks to 2011’s Take Care, which spawned eight singles including “Marvin’s Room,” “The Motto,” and the title track. If You’re Reading This it’s Too Late and Views helped launch him to the top of the year-end charts in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
