During a show at NYC’s Irving Plaza recently, rapper Wiki unveiled his new group.

Wiki first rose to fame in 2011 as a member of the New York City-based Ratking. In 2014, Ratking released their debut album So It Goes, via HXC records, to positive reviews, while it also peaked at No.  13 on the Billboard Heat Seekers chart. In 2016, a year after their release of the EP 700-Fill, the group broke up. However, Wiki went on to achieve underground success the following summer, with the release of his solo debut, No Mountains in Manhattan.

Now, the Manhattan rapper is forming a new collective, with the Secret Circle, alongside Bay Area emcee Antwon and Lil Ugly Mane from Virginia.

Hailing from San Jose, Antwon released his debut album Heavy Hearted in Doldrums in 2014 to moderate success. Additionally, he’s has released numerous EP’s, remixes and compilations of his work, some dating back as early as 2005.

Travis Miller, better known as Lil Ugly Mane, first rose to prominence in 2012 with his debut project, Mista Thug Isolation, which featured bars from Denzel Curry. Since then, he’s followed with numerous projects under 14 different aliases, until the creation of Secret Circle.

“We’re all hella different with different styles but all kind of connect as homies so it works,” Wiki said regarding the group, adding that they are planning to release their debut album in 2018.
