Following the Ball family’s decision to pull LiAngelo Ball from UCLA, father LaVar has announced that his son and younger Ball brother LaMelo has signed with a new agent.
LaVar told ESPN this week that his sons have signed with agent Harrison Gaines and the plan is for both of them to play overseas on the same team.
“I don’t care about the money,” LaVar said. “I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team.”
LaVar Ball said that the plan for the younger LaMelo — who he pulled from Chino Hills (California) High School earlier this year — is to play at UCLA in two years. As for LiAngelo, that’s no longer the case.
“He’s not going to play college basketball,” Ball said.
Their new agent, Harrison Gaines, already represents the oldest of the Ball brothers, Los Angeles Lakers rookie Lonzo Ball.
Apparently, there’s already several teams in Europe and Asia have expressed interest in the two Ball brothers.
“I don’t know the deals and who is offering what,” Ball said. “I’m letting Harrison handle all that, but I know there are a few teams interested. I just need to get them playing again.”
