After parting ways with Fifth Harmony last December, Camila Cabello worked hard all year to set up the release of his solo debut, which is now set for early 2018.

The singer took to social media to announce the news, while delivering a letter to her fans (aka the "Camilizers"). The album, titled Camila, is due out Jan. 12.

“my debut album is finally finished,” Camila wrote. “now i’m trying to steady my heartbeat!!!!!!! thank you for being so patient with me this year, i can’t wait for you to hear what has been the soundtrack to the past year of my life.”

She continued, explaining that her album is like an autobiography, which inspired the title. “all of these songs have special memories behind them, and i’m not gonna lie, it feels emotional letting them go, feels like the end of a chapter,” Camila explained. “i decided to call it by my name, because this is where this chapter in my life ended.

“it started with somebody else’s story,” she continued. “it ended with me finding my way back to myself. my album is gonna be available for pre order this Thursday, and i’m putting out two instant grat tracks with it... one is called never be the same, and one is called real friends. it’s in your hands January 12. love you guys so much, Camila.”

Cabello dropped a number of tracks this year, including “Crying in the Club” and “I Have Questions”, with the first cracking the Billboard Hot 100 and peaking at No. 47. However, it's unclear if it will make the album.

In August, she followed with the release of two singles, the Quavo-assisted “OMG” and “Havana” featuring Young Thug. "Havana" is still burning up airwaves and has climbed to as high as No. 2 on the singles chart.
