Quavo, of the Migos, and Childish Gambino aren’t exactly the most likely pair, but apparently, they’re working on a collaboration.
Last week, Quavo posted a picture of himself working in the studio with Donald Glover (aka Childish Gambino). This collaboration has been highly anticipated since January, after Glover stated that Migos are “the Beatles of this generation” during his Golden Globe acceptance speech.
Both artists are Georgia natives, with strong roots in the Atlanta hip-hop scene. During Glover’s aforementioned Golden Globe’s speech for the work on the hit TV series Atlanta, Glover praised the group’s Grammy nominated single “Bad and Boujee.”
“I couldn’t be here without Atlanta. And I really want to thank the Migos, not for being in the show, but for making ‘Bad and Boujee,’ ” Glover explained.”Like that’s the best song… ever. Yeah, just thanks to everyone. Thanks so much for this, we really appreciate it.”
As of press time, it is unknown when the collaboration will be released. Story developing…
